Clayton Coughlan

Director

Born and raised in Brisbane, Clayton began his working life, aged 15, as a part time milkman – he delivered milk in the early mornings before heading off to school. In 1989 Clayton began his apprenticeship as a painter and decorator with a local family owned painting partnership. During his apprenticeship he worked nights in a pizza shop to help make ends meet. He has also worked in radio, with a security services firm and was an area manager with a large painting company. Recognising his passion for painting, in 1997 he established a painting partnership and built a very good business. However, Clayton had other things on his mind and Wet Paint-Ting was born in 1999. Since then Clayton has worked tirelessly, in the early days often working 7 day a week, to build his business and meet his customers’ needs.


Ian Coughlan

Project Foreman

Ian is Clayton’s brother. He started his career as an apprentice baker. However, this was not for him. He moved on to many other roles – in his early days he worked in print media for the Sunday Sun and Daily Sun before accepting management roles with ACI, Smorgans Plastics and RMAX Packaging. He joined Wet Paint-Ting in June 2002.


Louise Coughlan

Accounts

Louise was raised in Brisbane and completed a diploma in early childhood after finishing Year 12. She has worked in many different roles, from store manager to IT support. Louise's father had a long established butcher shop at Mt Gravatt. Through her father Louise learnt that “NO ONE TRAINS FOR SECOND PLACE”. Therefore, no matter what Louise does, she strives to be the best she can whether it’s in the business, as a mother of her two children or as Clayton’s wife.


Brett Coughlan

Business Development Manager

Brett is the oldest Brother of company Director Clayton, Brett was born and raised on Brisbane’s northside, whilst still at school Brett work part time at City department store Mcdonall & East. After finishing grade 12 at Kedron high Scholl Brett Joined the Royal Australian Air Force subsequently moving to all different part of Australia, whilst in the Air Force Brett reach the rank of sergeant after starting a family Brett left the Air Force and moved back to Queensland he worked as store manager with Haymans Electrical Noosa, Brett joined the Wet Paint Ting Team in 2009.


Sharon Buxton

Sharon Buxton

Personal Assistant

Sharon joined our Team in April 2009 and joins us as Personal Assistant to Clayton. Sharon has previously work in demanding roles at Redcliffe Leagues club and more recently ManheimFowles, Sharon brings with her vast experience in all operational office procedures and her understanding of OH&S procedures has to be admired. Sharon says despite her many talents, she would like to think her best ability is being a fantastic Mother to her three beautiful children.


Kyle Walters

Painter

Kyle has been with the Wet Paint-Ting team for approximately 5 years; Kyle completed his apprenticeship in November 2008 after studying his formal qualifications at Yeronga Tafe College. Kyle has proven to be an outstanding apprentice and now tradesman being able to complete any works assigned to him. Kyle has a great inside to our customers needs and from customer feedback Kyle conducts himself in a professional manner. Kyle lives with his wife Carly.


Cameron Knight

Apprentice Painter

Cameron joined the Wet Paint-Ting team in January 2009 as a probation first year apprentice. Cameron soon proved his talents to Clayton and was signed up as a full apprentice in March 2009. Cameron completed Year 12 at Pine Rivers High School in 2008. He has real talent as an emerging soccer player and was recently selected to represent Queensland at the National Titles to be held in Perth in September 2009.


Adam Veitch

Plasterer / Painter

Growing up in Townsville Adam started working life with his father’s construction company as a Labourer before changing roles and gained an traineeship with AMH meat works in Townsville, soon after completing his traineeship Adam moved to Brisbane in late 2003 and started a new Appreniship as a Plasterer with Mewcastle Pty Ltd, once Adam completed his time with Mewcastle he joined the Wet Paint-ting team. In his leisure time Adam enjoys getting out and about with his mate and can often be found riding trail bike with the same friends. Adam now lives at Aspley with his Girlfriend Kylie.


Brendon Ashen

Apprentice Painter

Growing up on Brisbane’s Northside, Brendon developed a desire to join the painting industry whilst attending High School at Pine Rivers, Brendon has high self motivation and demonstrates this constantly through his approach to learning new skills in his chosen career as an Apprentice Painter. In his spare time Brendon says he is very family orientated often spending time with Mum, Dad and Sister attending local sporting events.


John McGillivray

Painter

John has been in the painting industry for over 15 years and has worked on a broad cross-section of projects including high rise constructions, and commercial and residential new and repaint jobs. John is an experienced finisher and can complete everything from a suede effect to an exterior Acra-Tex finish.
